“If you were having a stroke, would you recognize it? We’d all like to think so, but the signs can seem harmless when they’re happening to you. When web developer Luis Rivas had a stroke in 2011 at 36 years old, he thought he just had a headache. A sharp one, but nothing serious. He was at work, speaking with colleague André Guimaraes, showing him something on the computer screen. Then Rivas started fumbling his words.”
